Matvision showcases AI sorting technologies used in CiSMA  project at Metal Recycling Conference & Expo 2025

The CiSMA partner presented its latest developments in high-tech sensor systems and AI-driven robotic solutions for metal and e-waste sorting.

On Wednesday, June 11, CiSMA Partner Matvision took part in the E-Waste & Metal Recycling Conference & Expo 2025, held in Frankfurt, Germany. The company presented its latest developments in high-tech sensor systems and AI-driven robotic solutions for metal and e-waste sorting.

The event provided an opportunity to highlight how Matvision’s technologies address key challenges in the recycling sector, including the need for higher material purity, improved recovery rates, and increased automation in sorting processes.

Matvision also used the occasion to introduce its involvement in the CiSMA project, an EU-funded initiative aimed at developing 100% recycled steel using Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) technology. As part of the CiSMA consortium, Matvision will contribute its expertise in advanced sorting to support cleaner, more efficient steel production. By combining cutting-edge recycling technology with collaborative research efforts, Matvision aims to support the transition toward a more sustainable and circular metals’ industry.
