Matvision is a Belgian startup providing advanced sorting systems for the recycling industry. Our unique technology combines artificial intelligence with high-tech sensors (X-ray, hyperspectral imaging, and LIBS) and robotics to sort complex mixed waste in a single pass. Its mission is to help recyclers extract maximum value from metallic scraps and support industries in using secondary raw materials as substitutes for primary resources.
Contribution to CiSMA
In this project, Matvision will contribute its expertise to purify E40 scrap streams while recovering both valuable materials and contaminants. Its involvement will also focus on the industrialization of technology developed by the GeMMe laboratory at the University of Liège, from which Matvision spun off. Matvision aims to ensure that the innovations created are effectively transferable to relevant industrial applications.
