On 21-22 May, 2025, the Spanish National Center for Metallurgical Research (CENIM-CSIC) participated in the inaugural edition of METAL CENIM 2025 presenting a dedicated poster on the CiSMA Project. This landmark event, that took place in Madrid, Spain, focused on promoting innovation in sustainable metallurgy and strengthening the bridge between scientific research and industrial application.
Organized by CENIM-CSIC itself, METAL CENIM 2025 aimed to highlight cutting-edge advances in the field of metallurgy developed at research institutions and universities, many of which have yet to reach the industrial sector or the end consumer. During the event, a CiSMA dedicated poster was showcased to disseminate projects motivations and approach to introduce 100% scrap-based Electric Arc Furnace (EAF) steel products into mass-market steel sheet consumer goods.
The event brought together leading researchers, industrial stakeholders, and key public institutions in a dynamic two-day program featuring collaborative panels and expert discussions aiming to accelerate the transition toward greener, smarter metallurgical systems, contributing to the EU’s climate goals.
