CiSMA was highlighted during the worldsteel Breakthrough Technology Conference 2025, held on 2–3 December in Singapore, a key international event focused on innovation and decarbonisation in the steel industry.
During the conference, Klaus Peters, Secretary General of ESTEP, delivered a presentation titled “The Transformation of the EU Steel Industry – the Role of Innovation, Collaboration and Standardisation.” His talk underlined the importance of coordinated efforts across industry, research, and policy to drive the transition towards a more sustainable and competitive European steel sector.
Within this context, CiSMA was briefly mentioned as an example of ongoing collaborative initiatives supporting innovation and standardisation in advanced materials and steelmaking processes.
This recognition at a global forum such as the worldsteel conference reinforces the relevance of CiSMA’s work in contributing to the transformation of the steel industry.
