Contribution to CiSMA
Tata Steel Nederland is one of the two steel producers in the CiSMA consortium. Under this project, Tata Steel will produce various steel grades, both in laboratory scale and plant scale, as required in the project for microstructural characterisation and mechanical behaviour through various fast testing methodologies. The steels produced by Tata Steel Nederland will also be used for manufacturing prototype components and their testing in the project.
Tata Steel will also contribute to the characterisation of existing flows of steel scraps as raw material for new steel manufacturing and assist the OEMs in environmental and market validations of low CO2 raw material.
