Blekinge Institute of Technology (BTH) has a distinctive focus on the digitalisation of society and sustainability. It has a national mission to contribute with knowledge, expertise and innovation, and the organisation is characterised to a high degree by internationalisation.
BTH has about 500 employees in 9 research areas, 7,000 registered students and annual turnover of 49 million euros. As an institute of technology, BTH carries out research usually in collaboration with industry and society, which makes a real difference.
Contribution to CiSMA
BTH is leading the data-driven modelling of metal forming through the selection of material models and contributing to stochastic modelling. BTH will develop predictive models using accurate finite element simulation and machine learning to compute the effect of high variability in steel. BTH will also work in collaboration with the industry to develop forming simulation models of the selected use-case parts using circular steel.
